August 11 - MRO Corp Promotes John Walton to Vice President of Client Relations

MRO Corp has announced the appointment of John Walton to the position of vice president of client relations. In this role, Walton will be responsible for overall strategy and management of sales, marketing, new client installations, and training, as well as overseeing relationships with new and existing clients.

Additionally, MRO Corp has officially named current interim CEO Stephen Hynes as president and chief operating officer. Hynes, who is a cofounder of MRO, was appointed interim CEO in April 2008; Hynes had been executive vice president of client relations. In his new role as president and chief operating officer, Hynes will be responsible for strategic and tactical management of the company and day-to-day activities.

Previously, Walton held the position of director of sales at MRO Corp, with responsibility for overall coordination, functional management, and leadership of all sales activities. Walton worked in conjunction with company business and strategy plans to serve customers appropriately and effectively.

Before his career with MRO, Walton has also worked in a sales capacity for other service and technology companies, including Smart Corporation, Insight Health Services, Paging Network of Philadelphia, and Lanier. He received a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1990.
