Nov. 30 - DOD and VA Issue RFI on Joint EHR Project

The U.S. Departments of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) have issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the on-going study on a Joint DoD-VA EHR.

The purpose of the RFI is to gather information from a broad swath of healthcare industry experts on necessary components and milestones for a Joint Inpatient EHR. HIMSS Government Relations Roundtable members are encouraged to review the RFI online and consider providing input to the process.

The deadline for comment is Thursday, December 13, 2007. A possible HIMSS response will be a topic of discussion at Monday's HGRR meeting.
