EDCO to Merge With SolCom EDCO Group Inc recently announced that it is merging with SolCom Inc. Combining the two companies melds EDCO’s nearly 50 years of medical records conversion and storage expertise with SolCom’s healthcare software tools. SolCom Inc was founded in 1995 by the software engineers responsible for the development, implementation, and sales of IBM’s document management systems. Advancements allow hospitals to maximize the benefits of their EDMS faster and at lower costs than before. EDCO will incorporate SolCom’s newly-developed Solarity technology into their on-site day-forward scanning services for rapid document-level indexing without requiring bar-coding or special forms.
