AHIOS Announces New Members
 
The Association of Health Information Outsourcing Services (AHIOS) announced that three companies have joined its growing association—Nova Records Management, OneSource Document Management Services, Inc, and Universata, Inc.

Nova Records, a records management company, provides a variety of solutions for the healthcare industry, including document storage, document management, release of information (ROI), digital storage and digital imaging, and compliance solutions. Nova Records Management services a wide range of customers in the healthcare industry, from solo practitioners to major hospitals throughout the greater Northeast.

OneSource, headquartered in Ronkonkoma, N.Y., offers a range of customized copy and scanning services for healthcare organizations. With more than 10 years experience in the industry, OneSource works to provide organizations with quality outsourcing services including ROI, scanning, and electronic documentation.

Founded in September 2000, Universata has worked closely with healthcare industry experts in customer, employee, consultancy, and advisory board positions and has invested heavily to research HIPAA, patient privacy, and the ROI process to create a new model for HIM in the post-HIPAA generation. In addition to healthcare, its solutions include integration, software, database expertise, and online exchange engines for financial services, government, and higher education.

For more than a decade, AHIOS has worked to sustain its mission by increasing awareness of the value, importance, and complexity of the outsourcing industry and establish standards of excellence in the release of medical information process. One of the most critical components of the organization’s mission is to pursue fair and equitable treatment of the outsourcing industry through legislative, regulatory and legal processes.
