Cedars-Sinai Health System Selects Health Care DataWorks for Clinical Data Warehouse and Healthcare Analytics

The partnership is the latest in which a leading healthcare organization has turned to
Health Care DataWorks for business intelligence solutions that improve data analysis and enable more informed decision making.

Columbus, OH (July 2012) – Health Care DataWorks, Inc (HCD) is entering into a multi-year agreement with Cedars-Sinai Health System (CSHS) to provide its KnowledgeEdge™ Enterprise for the health system’s Clinical Data Warehouse.

CSHS will rely on HCD’s solution to broaden access to information, providing actionable knowledge to improve quality while reducing costs.  The agreement marks the latest partnership in which a leading healthcare organization has turned to Health Care DataWorks for market-leading business intelligence. Additionally, as part of the agreement, Cedars-Sinai and HCD will work actively together to drive innovation.

“While we could have built the Clinical Data Warehouse ourselves over a period of many years, HCD provides us with the ability to fast track our project in a way that would not be possible otherwise, putting us in position to realize the benefits more quickly,” explained CSHS CIO Darren Dworkin.  “We look forward to our team working with HCD to create a broad and seamless view of our clinical data for easy analysis and decision making.”

The Clinical Data Warehouse will aggregate and organize disparate clinical and financial data, helping Cedars-Sinai to make decisions to improve quality of care and achieve operational efficiencies.

“We are aggressively building new products in anticipation of the needs of our clients, and the partnership with Cedars-Sinai is a testament to the value we can bring organizations that are facing ever-evolving pressures to reduce costs while improving patient care,” said Detlev H. (Herb) Smaltz, Health Care DataWorks CEO. “We're excited to have another world-class organization using KnowledgeEdge™ to support its analytics needs.

“This relationship demonstrates what our offering can do  not only for our large clients that often have dozens of data producing systems above and beyond their EMRs, but also for clients of all sizes that are looking to leverage the tremendous amount of data being created as they complete the implementation of their EMRs.  In our mind, healthcare analytics are for everyone.”
