Nick van Terheyden Joins Nuance

Nick van Terheyden, MD, has been named chief medical information officer-clinical language understanding for Nuance Communications, a provider of speech recognition software.

Prior to joining Nuance, van Terheyden served as chief medical officer for M*Modal, another developer of speech recognition technology. Before that, van Terheyden served in executive positions for several technology companies, including Philips Speech Recognition Systems/Healthcare Informatics.
