Webinar Series to Focus on Narrative Notes

MD-IT is initiating a series of webinars for its channel partners and associates that specialize in educating end-users about narrative note technology and medical documentation.

“Our associates and channel partners are uniquely positioned to communicate the benefits of a narrative-note workflow,” says MD-IT CEO Tom Carson. “Both their customer base and the industry at large are undergoing significant changes. MD-IT software and service is specifically designed to adapt to this environment, and we are poised to meet the comprehensive information needs of the healthcare industry.”

Adoption of EMR technology continues to grow in the ambulatory space. MD-IT believes that driving discrete data directly from narrative notes will be an essential part of a healthcare delivery model.

“Preserving the physician narrative remains a critical component of patient care,” says Carson. “The added factors of accountable care organizations, patient-centered medical homes, ICD-9 to ICD-10 conversion and the increase in Medicare and Medicaid audits amplify the need for rich data.”

MD-IT is working with its associate partners to create expert HIT consultants that are enabled to have in-depth conversations about narrative notes and discrete data as they relate to EMR/EHR, EMR optimization, practice workflow and productivity, audit protection, and data management solutions.

“MD-IT enables its partners to offer cutting edge software and service to an underserved ambulatory market. The transition from a strict service organization to one offering document management technologies requires education and support,” says MD-IT Senior Consultant Bobby Powers. “We continually provide our partners with the tools needed to become reputable and successful health IT consultants.”

Information on future webinars and educational programs will be announced on the MD-IT website (www.md-it.com) in the coming weeks.
