Precyse Inks Deal With Meritus Health

Precyse, a provider of HIM technology and services, has been awarded a five-year contract for its HIM Strategic Sourcing Services by Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.

As part of the agreement, Precyse will provide services in the areas of transcription, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), and coding, using both precyseCode and precyseCDI, Precyse's exclusive single, integrated platform enabling both inpatient and outpatient computer assisted coding and CDI. The cloud-based platform incorporates state-of-the-art natural language processing for embedded intelligence and supports multiple HIM roles across an organization. The precyseCode platform also contains embedded encoder integration.

Precyse will also provide HIM administration, staffing support, and education; processing of all patient records, reports, and reconciliation; and regulatory and compliance review and adherence. Precyse strategic sourcing provides the best practices, processes, and technology needed to facilitate the capture of data, the content and record management and finally, the information use, analysis, and exchange required to produce consistent and quality outcomes.

"Providers are facing numerous challenges in meeting regulatory and compliance health care requirements, but Precyse has the people, processes, and technology to support clients today while moving them step-by-step into the future," says Chris Powell, president of Precyse. "Our HIM strategic sourcing solutions implement changes without compromise. We help strengthen health data integrity, drive EHR adoption, improve productivity and processes, and prepare for a successful ICD-10 transition. We pride ourselves in taking care of the health information that is taking care of patient lives."

Precyse currently provides HIM support to hundreds of hospitals and health systems nationwide and is able to assume full responsibility for the entire HIM function for a hospital or health system on a short- or long-term basis.
