Sage Healthcare Division Partners with Medical Society of Virginia

Sage Healthcare Division is collaborating with the Medical Society of Virginia to participate in a new program called Health Information Technology (HIT) Select.
 
The Medical Society of Virginia’s EHR vendor program is the latest initiative in its effort to help Virginia’s physicians navigate the maze of HIT offerings on the market as physicians strive to meet federal reform and meaningful use requirements.

To participate in HIT Select, Sage Healthcare Division passed a stringent vetting process and agreed to adhere to competitive contract guidelines developed by the Medical Society of Virginia on behalf of its members, including the following:

discounted pricing for all medical society members who purchase a system through Medical Society of Virginia HIT Select;

The program also includes dedicated Medical Society of Virginia staff support that can assist in any troubleshooting during the selection process as a point of contact for physicians.

REC Names ABEL Medical Software Preferred Vendor

Zentner to Head ICD-10 Training and Education Services

TrustHCS, an HIM, compliance, and revenue cycle consultancy firm for healthcare providers, recently announced that Alice O. Zentner, RHIA, will be the director of auditing and education. She will be responsible for heading up the firm’s new ICD-10 Training and Education Services offering.

In her new role, Zentner will provide timely assistance and leadership to TrustHCS clients by assisting them in the development and execution of ICD-10 training and education budgets, project plans, and staff assessments. Zentner’s recent experience in clinical documentation improvement will be a valuable asset to TrustHCS clients as deeper granularity and specificity in physician documentation is a required element for ICD-10 success.

Siegel Named Partner at HIT Search Firm

Sanford Rose Associates - Charleston, a retained executive search firm specializing in HIT, has promoted Bonnie R. Siegel to partner of its Healthcare IT Senior Leadership Practice.

Siegel will help with placing key executive talent within hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, medical groups, payers, vendors, and consulting firms. She specializes in the recruitment of C-level executives, vice presidents, IT security officers, and other high-level positions in clinical IT, clinical informatics, and ambulatory EMRs for major healthcare systems and organizations throughout the country.

Prior to joining Sanford Rose Associates, Siegel served as vice president at Hersher Associates, Ltd, a nationally recognized HIT executive search firm. Earlier in her career she was vice president of market research and IT consultant at Sheldon I. Dorenfest & Associates.
