AHIMA Releases New ICD-10 Online Training Courses

AHIMA is excited to release its new, innovative, and industry-leading ICD-10-CM/PCS online coder training courses.  As the cornerstone of the AHIMA ICD-10 Online Training programs, these two course collections are designed to help HIM professionals prepare for the ICD-10 transition.

“AHIMA has been the industry’s leading authority on ICD-10 preparation for more than a decade,” said AHIMA CEO Lynne Thomas Gordon, MBA, RHIA, CAE, FACHE. “These comprehensive and engaging online training and educational products are just the latest examples of our leadership. They provide professionals with flexible training options and the critical tools they need to help implement ICD-10 in their healthcare organizations.”

The ICD-10-CM Coding: Online Course Collection is now available. Coders in all settings will benefit from this thorough study of ICD-10-CM coding, which includes the ICD-10-CM Overview: Deciphering the Code course plus 22 individual one-hour courses focused on the specific chapters of ICD-10-CM.

Also available is the ICD-10-PCS Coding: Online Course Collection, which will prepare acute care coders for ICD-10-PCS coding. The courses review ICD-10-PCS organization and guidelines and provide case scenarios to accurately assign ICD-10-PCS codes. In addition to the ICD-10-PCS Overview: Deciphering the Code course, this 23-hour collection includes 10 shorter courses focused on the root operations and medical and surgical-related procedures of ICD-10-PCS.

By registering before November 1, 2012, you retain access to all course material through 2014.

These two new course collections fit into AHIMA’s Online Training Pathway, which is divided into paths that makes it easy for those involved in the ICD-10 transition to choose the training that is most valuable to their unique role and /or setting.

These online training courses are in addition to AHIMA’s popular and successful -in-person ICD-10 Training Academies and the new Coder Workforce training.
