Allscripts, Citra Health Announce Partnership

Allscripts and Citra Health Solutions recently announced a commercial partnership to make their respective solutions and services readily available to the other's client base.

The partnership will enable Allscripts to deliver services that help clients succeed with value-based care and reimbursement models, while allowing Citra (formerly Orange/MZI) to bring access to clinical information and data exchange to customers.

"Health care is changing dramatically and our clients have told us they are looking for services to help them thrive in this new environment," says Paul M. Black, president and CEO of Allscripts. "We are delighted to add Citra's robust services to our proven technology solutions. Together, we can help clients participate more fully in, and succeed with, risk-sharing and accountable-care programs."

Citra offers strategic services to support payers and providers seeking to capitalize on opportunities presented by risk-sharing and other value-based models. Its offerings include executive-level advisory services, practice management-surrounding infrastructure and workflow, patient outreach, medical cost reduction, and quality improvement programs. In addition, Citra's Web-based software solutions supply benefits administration and claims adjudication capabilities, supported by care coordination and claims-based analytics, to better manage health care spending of patient populations.

Allscripts delivers HIT to help physician practices, hospitals and postacute facilities improve patient outcomes and achieve financial goals. Allscripts offerings include EHR systems such as Allscripts Professional EHR, Allscripts TouchWorks EHR, and Allscripts Sunrise, along with mobility, practice management, and revenue cycle solutions. Allscripts Population Health Management offerings include the Allscripts dbMotion health information platform, which aggregates clinical information from disparate sources—and then harmonizes the data, delivering them in the provider's native workflow in an actionable format; and Allscripts FollowMyHealth patient engagement platform, an EHR-agnostic solution that integrates with all systems across the enterprise to simplify patient access regardless of provider's software.

Howard Buff, CEO of Citra, notes Citra's customers will benefit from access to Allscripts solutions, which collectively supply real-time clinical information that impacts decisions made at the point of care. "Ultimately, we all are trying to improve the health and wellbeing of patients by making sure they get the care they need across the continuum," he says. "This partnership equips our clients with the means to achieve that goal, while giving them expert strategic support, efficient infrastructure, and the clinical and business intelligence they need to respond to the demands of risk-sharing and quality-based initiatives."
