Pyramid Health Solutions Adds Two Execs


Pyramid Healthcare Solutions, a provider of revenue cycle management services for the healthcare industry, announces the hiring of two senior-level executives—Nav Ranajee, vice president of sales and marketing, and Angela Carmichael, assistant vice president of coding and auditing.

Ranajee, with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, offers significant experience in the implementation of patient financial systems and in the reengineering of revenue cycle processes for healthcare providers.  In his new role at Pyramid, Ranajee will be responsible for leading the company’s sales and marketing strategies focused on healthcare organizations such as hospitals and medical groups.

Carmichael possesses extensive experience in HIM, specializing in various payment methodologies, coding education, compliance, and management.  She holds multiple certifications, including Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP), and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) for both hospital and physician services.

After receiving his MBA in Healthcare Administration from Widener University, Ranajee began his career in medical administration for the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and then moved to senior healthcare consulting/project management roles with Siemens Medical Systems and Arthur Andersen. For 10 years, he led the healthcare product divisions for Bank of America and Fifth Third Bank and was a pioneer in launching innovative new products including the healthcare receivables manager and health savings accounts. As a thought leader, Ranajee has presented on topics such as revenue cycle technologies, consumer directed healthcare and health reform for leading industry associations including the Healthcare Financial Management Association and HIMSS.

Carmichael has a master’s degree in business administration from Nova Southeastern University. She is an AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM/PCS instructor and ambassador.  Her background includes providing services in hospitals, physician offices, and consulting and payer settings. She brings expertise in technical writing, public speaking, testing, and training development to Pyramid.
