Monthly Prescribing Reference (MPR) has announced that the MPR Mobile Appnow offers a drug interactions checker on the Apple iOS and Android platforms. The checker includes a database of nearly 7,000 agents with more than 3,800 detailed drug-drug, drug-alcohol, drug-food, and drug-herbal interactions. Interactions are classified by severity and include explanations of the pharmacologic effects of the interaction, recommendations on how to manage the interaction, and full references.
MPR Mobile has also improved the way it delivers timely drug information by providing users with an inbox for quick access to news, alerts, and other relevant messages. Users can personalize the information they receive by specifying the topics they are interested in and have the option to request to receive breaking drug news alerts even when the MPR app is not open.

With this mobile app, HNE will be able to provide its members with a provider directory and member ID application 24/7 from any smartphone or tablet. Members will also be able to trigger directions from their current location, call a provider, or access ID cards, which provide policy numbers, member numbers, and various copay and deductible amounts.
The app will be free of charge to any smartphone, tablet, or Web-enabled mobile user.
Developed on the FeedHenry mobile application platform, the app integrates securely with HNE member information systems by storing and caching member details and logic in the Court Square private cloud. HIPAA compliance is ensured through FeedHenry’s end-to-end security framework from mobile device to internal system end points and through the deployment in Court Square’s cloud, enabling HNE to have a fully HIPAA-compliant and privately hosted mobile solution.
