Cooperative Exchange Announces Medical Electronic Attachment as Newest Member

The Cooperative Exchange, the association for the healthcare transaction clearinghouse industry, approved the supporting organization membership of Medical Electronic Attachment, Inc (MEA). MEA is based in Norcross, Georgia, and is the recognized leader in secure health information exchange. Their solutions focus on removing waste and improving the administrative burden in healthcare by reducing time and cost associated with paper and manual processes. As the country moves toward increased dependence on EHRs, MEA is working to drive care coordination by providing secure medical record access for healthcare professionals.

“We are pleased to join the Cooperative Exchange,” says Cindy Jacoby, vice president of sales and partnerships. “As the healthcare industry continues to change...IT solutions are going to be critical for keeping up with industry mandates. Aligning with a group that is committed to the advancement of EDI, such as the Cooperative Exchange, supports the overall mission of MEA.”

“We are very excited Medical Electronic Attachment joined the Cooperative Exchange,” adds Cooperative Exchange President Angela McKenna. “Their membership furthers our mission of promoting and advancing electronic data exchange for the healthcare industry by improving efficiency, advocacy, and education to industry stakeholders and government entities.”
